Members Ratify New Contract!

On March 2, AFSCME members who work for the City of Chicago ratified their proposed new union contract with an overwhelming 98% margin. Attendance at ratification meetings was high, and representatives from the bargaining committee were on hand to answer questions and lead members through important changes. The contract now heads to City Council, where a vote will be held for its ratification by the city. We don’t yet know the timeline for the City Council vote, but will post here as updates become available.
